Committee of the Regions

The Committee of the Regions (CoR) is the political assembly that provides the regional and local levels with a voice in EU policy development and EU legislation.

Parliament has 20 policy committees, which meet, mainly in Brussels, throughout the year. The Committee on Regional Development is responsible for regional and cohesion policy, including, among others, EU funding instruments, assessing the impact of other Union policies on economic and social cohesion, coordination of the Union's structural instruments, interregional cooperation, and relations with the Committee of the Regions.
